The place was stunning, with a beautiful waterfall creating a romantic ambiance. However, the food and service were disappointing. The best item in the menu was served last- carpaccio. We were served skewers first, followed by hamachi, rolls, and sashimi. The order was unusual. The cocktails were bland, and the server claimed they were pre-mixed and couldn’t be customized. The noise level was extremely high, making it difficult to converse. It was a nice touch when they brought a dessert to celebrate our special occasion. Overall, we left with a strange feeling. I would rate this place 3.5 stars.
Excellent. Firstly, the atmosphere was top notch; a well designed interior and welcoming atmosphere right in front of the Wynn waterfall. Secondly, the service was excellent. The servers were very attentive and had great recommendations for us. Finally, the food. Wow. The combination of flavors that made each dish were incredible. The short rib was the standout. The crispy rice tuna roll was also a favorite and the drinks are so unique. This is a must do.
Beautiful restaurant with excellent service, but the food did not meet expectations. The setting is stunning, with impressive décor and attentive staff. However, after ordering many dishes, nothing stood out as remarkable for a restaurant with this reputation and price point. The execution was competent but uninspiring overall. Great atmosphere and hospitality, but disappointed with the culinary experience.
Mizumi inside the Wynn is an incredible dining experience from beginning to end. Everything we ordered was fantastic, and you can immediately tell the quality of the ingredients is on another level. They fly in their fish and nearly all of their ingredients directly from Japan, and that attention to quality really comes through in the food. We tried the Shrimp Tempura & Spicy Tuna Roll, Wagyu Gyoza Dumplings, Scallop Tataki & Crispy Shrimp Roll, Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna Sushi, and Seared Aburi Salmon Sushi. There honestly wasn’t a bad dish on the table. The Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna was one of the biggest standouts for me. The crispy rice had a great texture and paired perfectly with the spicy tuna, avocado purée and sweet soy. Definitely something I would order again every time. The Wagyu gyoza was excellent, both rolls were extremely fresh and well put together, and the seared salmon was fantastic as well. Service is top notch and exactly what you would expect from a restaurant at this level. Very professional, attentive and polished without feeling overdone. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful and has an atmosphere that makes the entire experience feel special. For dessert, we finished with the Crown Honeydew Melon from Shizuoka, Japan, which was a perfect way to end the meal. Incredibly fresh, sweet and flavorful, and even something as simple as melon showed the level of quality they focus on here. Mizumi is definitely on the pricier side, but this is one of those places where you get what you pay for. Between the quality of the ingredients, execution of the food, service and atmosphere, the entire experience delivers. One of my favorite meals in Las Vegas and absolutely a restaurant I would return to.
What an incredible experience. I simply do not understand the recent negative reviews. My wife and I were walki-ins on Saturday night and were told that the restaurant was completely committed for the evening but the sushi bar had availability. We arrived at 9pm and were seated within ten minutes. Our visit was absolutely flawless. The service was 10 star, the sushi was some of the best I’ve had outside of Japan and the cocktails were perfect. When we are back in Vegas, we will absolutely be back but this time with a reservation to sit outside ( IYKYK). The management team was even kind enough to provide a “booster seat” for my wife’s handbag. Absolutely next level!! I would highly recommend Mizumi to anyone looking for an incredible experience, not just an amazing meal. Thank you again staff for making my wife’s birthday weekend special.
