Excellent excellent experience here. Everything was top notch. The old world roman vibes, atmosphere, service, and of course the excellent pasta. Starting with the signature burrata & prosciutto combo, the aged prosciutto was so rich and savory and goes perfectly with the super fresh burrata with a drizzle of olive oil. Super yummy to go with a pairing of red wine. Their cocktails are also suprisingly good. They said the pappardelle was the only pasta that was handmade from start to finish, and deliver it did. The pasta sheets were so incredibly thin yet so bouncy I couldn't understand how it was possible. Finally, the star of the show, a simple traditional dish, the "tonnarelli cacio e pepe". Our server says this favorite "always hits hard". As an Asian person who lives for spices and strong flavors, I was thinking to myself "I'm curious let's order it but I probably won't like it much when it comes out." Oh boy was I wrong. To my absolute surprise, this somehow became my favorite of the night. It's simply pasta, cheese, and pepper, so simple, yet somehow the pepper was so bright and fresh that it lifts the whole combination to the next level that I just couldn't stop eating. I think this just became my new favorite pasta restaurant and will have to go to their other location when I get back to LA.
What an absolutely incredible experience my best friend from NY and I had. I am a local here, and I can safely say this wonderful restaurant is the real deal. The quality of service, even from the moment we walked in, was truly incredible. If you love fine Italian cuisine, are passionate about fresh made pasta, live for a good cocktail, or just want to feel special in general...then do not leave this place off your "must try" list when visiting here. The Lamb lollies...epic, the prawns...unreal, the bread...good lawd wow! We will be back, I'm still dreaming for that pappardelle!!! 10 stars!
We chose Mother Wolf for our anniversary dinner and couldn’t have been happier with the overall experience. The restaurant has a wonderful, vibrant environment that sets the perfect mood. Our waiter, Darren, made the evening truly special. He greeted us with a complimentary Prosecco toast and surprised us with personalized printed menus that said “Happy Anniversary” — a nice touch we got to take home. For food, we ordered: Polpette di Coda: Not your traditional Italian meatball, but packed with meat and very tasty. Rigatoncini all Vaccinara: Generous portion loaded with short ribs — rich and delicious. Linguine alle Vongole: Unfortunately a bit disappointing — the pasta arrived cold and stuck together. Branzino alla Brace: Very large portion, but even though it was listed as boneless, we still found some bones, so be careful when eating. When Darren noticed the issue with the linguine, he immediately took it off our bill and comped us a free tiramisu, lemon dessert, and a dark chocolate anniversary cake. (We were told the manager would stop by, but he never did — no big deal.) Darren’s service was outstanding and went above and beyond. Thanks to him, we had a really good experience despite one hiccup. Highly recommended, especially if you’re celebrating a special occasion!
BEAUTIFUL! Such a lovely spot. Our server was amazing , he presented menu items so thoroughly and nicely and made al the right recommendations. Beautiful interior and exterior design, open concept kitchen and very cozy dining area. Cocktails were all delicious, we ordered Diavola pizza , Rigatoncini alla Vaccinara and Fettucine al Burro and all were so delicious and filling. Would go again if i’m there!
We kicked off our meal with the fried squash blossoms—lightly battered, perfectly crisp, and stuffed with creamy ricotta. They weren't greasy at all, making for a great start. The sfincione was incredibly soft and fluffy, though it was a little too oily for my taste. The pesto prawns were the appetizer I was most excited about, and they definitely delivered. The presentation was beautiful, and the prawns were large, perfectly cooked, and had firm, bouncy meat. The clam linguine was another standout. The fresh clams were sweet and briny, served in a light white wine sauce with parsley that captured the classic flavors of coastal Italian cuisine. The other two pasta dishes, however, were fairly average and didn't leave much of an impression. The pizza was another highlight, with a beautifully charred, thin, chewy crust that had just the right amount of smokiness. We wrapped up the meal with the classic tiramisu, which was smooth, creamy, and pleasantly balanced—not overly sweet. As for the service, I'd give it a 3/5. They didn't come by to check on us during the meal, and after we finished our entrées, we waited nearly 10 minutes for the dessert menu before anyone brought it over. The food was excellent overall, but the service could definitely have been more attentive.
