Google Maps Review

This is a hidden gem and a must-visit if you’re looking for something unique near Las Vegas. From the moment you arrive, it feels like stepping straight onto a Western movie set. The area is full of character, featuring an incredible collection of vintage cars, old buildings, mining equipment, and quirky artifacts that make every corner photo-worthy. I was completely fascinated by the atmosphere—there’s so much detail to appreciate everywhere you look, making it perfect for photography. Whether you’re into rustic aesthetics, history, or just seeking unique backdrops, you’ll leave with amazing shots. I booked my visit through GetYourGuide (Nelson Ghost Town), and the experience was seamless. They picked me up directly from my hotel and transported me to the site, which made everything super convenient and stress-free. There's also a historic mine on the property, and if you pay a little extra, you can take a guided tour inside. This added experience is definitely worth it if you want to learn more about the area's mining history. The staff on-site are friendly and knowledgeable, and the entire place has a laid-back, authentic vibe that encourages you to take your time exploring. Overall, Nelson Ghost Town is fun, unique, and full of charm. It’s a perfect half-day trip and a great break from the typical Las Vegas attractions. I highly recommend it!

We decided to do a day trip to get out of the house. Its about an hour or so ride outside of Vegas. The owners were very friendly and knowledgeable. They ask a $1.00 fee per person to walk around. If you are a professional photographer they ask $10.00 per hour to shoot. The items here were amazing. This location was also used in the movie "3000 Miles to Graceland". Pets are allowed. Just be mindful this is the desert. You have heat, scorpions, and rattle snakes in the area.

This is one of maybe two or three places in the ENTIRE USA where you can tour a historic mine so we were excited to go in. This is private property, so you have to check in at the general store before wandering. My son really got a kick out of all the old and custom cars, firetrucks, and busses on site, and also, aside from the mine the other grounds are interesting to explore. INSIDE the mine (roughly 20.00 tour fee) you really get a first hand feel for what it was like to be a miner in the 1800s. At one point you can actually see a fault line first hand. Tour guides are really personable and patient with questions. GREAT FOR KIDS - FAMILIES.

We had an amazing time at the mines. The grounds are full of surprises. Makes you feel like you are walking through a fallout scene. Tour guide made the gold mine an even better experience. Take your time (when it’s not too hot) to explore the grounds and main building. 10/10 would tour again.

Great mine tour & small village to look round. You can see why so many horror films have been filmed here, it’s one of those places you be shouting at the TV saying “don’t stop there”, but you do have to it’s great. The tour was amazing & the guide (sorry forgot his name) was soooo funny & made the visit interesting. 5 ⭐️
