We got there late. A group chain of holdups put us there an hour later than we wanted. That was not going to stop us. The Museum is well laid out, and well put together. Starting with the beginning of Nuclear experimentation, all the way to current uses in ships and for clean energy. The displays were striking visually striking, and they had many artifacts on display. Of particular interest was the information and displays on the testing done in Southern Nevada. The ignorance of radiation and what it did to people was just mind-boggling. There was not enough time...... they had a special small display area dedicated to the Fallout Video game series and its pervading theme of nuclear holocaust survival. It was well done. Would love to go again sometime.
This place was so interesting. My kids and I really enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was well organized and clean. Plan for 2 hours to see everything. The atomic blast experience was very interesting and created lots of great conversation between my kids and I. This place would be great for history buffs, history teachers, and educators. There is a self guided tour option available that adds to the experience. Several hands on activities for children and adults who like science. Its a fun place.
This was really cool. Lots of well constructed exhibits covering a broad range of topics regarding all things atomic, from science and tests to weapons and history. A highlight for me was the Fallout exhibit, it was fun to see the props and displays. I recommend a visit!
This is a very comprehensive museum regarding atomic bombs, the Manhattan Project etc. but focuses on Nevada's role. Very informative and has several interactive displays. Don't miss the small theater that shows what it was like to experience the test detonation of the atomic bomb.
We visited on a weekday, which was perfect because it wasn't overly crowded. Be prepared to spend some time here, there is a tremendous amount of information to read, and the exhibits are packed with fascinating artifacts and displays. You could easily spend hours exploring everything the museum has to offer. My fiancé and I especially loved the Fallout exhibit since we're huge Fallout fans. It was one of the highlights of our visit! We also enjoyed the interactive experiences throughout the museum, which made the exhibits even more engaging. There's a gift shop on-site as well, and we ended up picking up a few souvenirs before leaving. Admission also includes access to two additional exhibits, making it an excellent value. If you're interested in history, science, or just looking for a unique experience in Las Vegas, I highly recommend visiting!
