I chose to visit the Bodies show after the titanic exhibition, which was right next door, and I have a very particular warning: If you work in medicine, be careful. The preservation is amazing, but the "wow factor" is rapidly displaced by the sensation of being back in a windowless lab. It was less of a museum visit and more of a "mandatory Anatomy and Physiology review course." If you've spent years staring at graphs and cadavers, this might be more of an "unpaid overtime" experience than a weekend outing. Final Verdict Visit the Titanic: Especially if you are interested in maritime history and the secrets of the deep. Avoid the Bodies (if you are in medicine): Unless you want to spend your day off pointing out the brachial plexus.
Having it in the Luxor was so chill. Easy place to be for my nervous system even on a weekend. I could see how this would be really exciting for NEW med and massage students but finally seeing it 20 years later led me to disappointment. It's from the perspective of western medicine and it is very basic. They couldn't even label the broad ligament even though they have us being curious about our bodies. I could see it in its dehydrated form. No talk of langer lines (collagen fibers) even tho the discovery would be seemingly relatable with the discovery of it and to how it can be seen more in the dehydrated state. I wonder if they looked through a lens of a microscope that measured oscillatory rate (MOR) if great depth and appreciation for science here could be appreciated for the efforts of the artists work we get to witness at the bodies exhibit. Worth seeing even though my expectations were high. I'm still inspired to see the ugly hard truth. I mean the sliced fascia art was pretty different way to display many systems in one display.
I came here in February 2025. Here are some pictures. Absolutely loved this exhibit! It was SO fascinating seeing the human body up close , you don’t realize how complex and insane it is until you actually see it like that. I took my time reading everything because it was genuinely interesting. Some parts are intense, but in a super educational way. And yes… I even got to TOUCH A BRAIN 🧠 which was wild and honestly so cool. The gift shop at the end had the funniest stuff too 😂 did not expect to be laughing after looking at organs, but here we are. If you’re even a little bit into science or the human body, this is 100% worth it while in Vegas!
A quiet get away from the hotel. Very interesting. It is a little jarring IMO. Science and our bodies are amazing; it was wild to see how we work and what the inside of the body looks like.
Pretty interesting, I've seen other Bodies exhibits before, and this one is OK. The young woman at the front was unnecessarily stern. Definitely worth a visit if you're interested and have never been to one. It was good to be able to explain human physiology to school aged kid with an exhibit like this, but I would not recommend this for younger children. Also, I now understand why there is the rumor that these cadavers came from Chinese prisoners 😕
