I came here to celebrate my anniversary with my husband and was really looking forward to having a special experience together. Unfortunately, the way we were treated was very disappointing. We waited in line for a few minutes and noticed that the couples ahead of us were riding together after purchasing only two tickets. When it was our turn, however, an employee named Nictoria told us that if we wanted to ride as a couple, we needed to purchase two additional tickets. We ended up paying an extra $78, bringing our total to $156. What made this especially frustrating was that the couples before us, and even the couples after us were allowed to ride with only two tickets. We were treated differently without any clear explanation. For a ride that lasted approximately 10 minutes, $156 was already extremely expensive, but the inconsistent treatment made the experience even more disappointing. This was supposed to be a special anniversary moment for us, and instead we left feeling that the policy was applied unfairly. If there is a policy requiring couples to purchase four tickets for a private gondola, it should be communicated clearly and applied consistently to every guest. I would appreciate management reviewing what happened and explaining why we were charged differently from the other couples.
The gondola rides are a wonderful experience! Very relaxing and romantic, with beautiful views all around. It really feels like a little trip to Venice. Highly recommend!
We did a ride outside. It's not long, maybe 15 minutes, and the line to do it wasn't long either. We bought tickets about 45 mins before our time. We enjoyed it though. She sang for us especially to celebrate the anniversary we were here for. The gondaliers are very friendly. They have someone who takes pics for you that are available for purchase after (one for $40 or two for $60).
Beautiful experience, the lines can get long inside. The outside gondolas are under the sunshine, but are not as aesthetic as the ones inside which are designed to imitate the canals in Venice. For that reason, the ones inside are usually busier with longer lines on the weekends. The gondola rides on the outside or less busy, but you can purchase your tickets from the outside and then go inside to do the gondola rides which will save you time from the long lines inside. It is a beautiful experience and the gondola sailors sing to you while they sail you through the canals. It is a very short ride and you can book individual tickets to go with other people, 4 people Maximum on a gondola, or you can book a single ticket which will cost more for yourself and get a private gondola. As a solo traveler, this is what I did
I love the experience. There was no line. No wait getting our tickets as easy. Our guy was very friendly. Chatty sounded amazing. I loved them singing. Perfect timing. Nice little ride. I would do this again.
