Overall, I had a very good stay at the Luxor. The hotel and casino staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout my visit. Justin Prince, one of the managers, was the MVP of my stay. My original room had a view of a giant wall, but Justin was able to move me to a much nicer room overlooking the pool, which made a huge difference. Alice at the front desk was also excellent and quickly resolved an issue with missing food and beverage credits at checkout. The fitness center was well equipped, clean, and nicely maintained. A few negatives: several dining options were closed on weekdays, the casino allows smoking, and the Pyramid rooms are showing their age. Even with those drawbacks, the excellent service from Justin, Alice, and the rest of the staff made this a very positive experience.
Always enjoy a stay in the Luxor, especially the newer Towers portion of the casino. The Pyramid portion of the casino is great and all, but some of the best value and great rooms are found in the Tower. Much nicer and newer rooms than the Pyramid portion of the hotel. The rooms are also much quieter as well. Overall though another great stay; friendly staff, a clean and great room, and plenty of food options and fun to be found in Luxor and the immediately adjacent properties a quick walk or tram ride away (this trip I was going to a concert at Mandalay Bay and it was a great spot to stay for that once some money).
Day1: So far so bad. You check yourself in, you create your own room key, you're your own bell hop. King room is two queens. Horrible start to our anniversary. ,, they call 2 queen beds an upgrade from a King bed. Nobody shows you where to go, may as well be following signs at an airport., trying to find info on walls. When you ask someone near check in they tell you all the info is in the text, no positive interaction, no smile. Hair in every corner of the bathroom, seem as though nothing was cleaned, but dingy lighting can't hide it. Day:9 Elevators are sketchy, they work sometimes. Pool closes before the sun goes down. The food is OK everywhere within the luxor. The steakhouse they have is great, but it's gonna be minimum 125per person. The essentials store does not put prices on their items in the store, but a Gatorade is almost 8 dollars, a small bag of chips is almost as much, and a pack of Marlboro is 19.50. The breakfast restaurant sells coffee af 5.50 and a bagel with cream cheese is 8.00. The rest of the staff within the hotel are great. But if you call to speak with anyone from the room expect to feel like you called your insurance company.
The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the shower heated up quickly. Having an iron in the room was nice too! Unfortunately, when it rained, we had leaks in three different areas, and the room felt muggy. No microwave was a big disappointment, especially since there was nowhere to heat up our own food. Check-in and check-out were easy, but our room wasn't ready even though we arrived after check-in time. Overall, some good things, but definitely room for improvement.
### ⭐⭐ 2/5 — Absolutely Not Worth the Money Our stay at the Luxor was extremely disappointing and honestly unacceptable for a major Las Vegas resort. The room was missing **basic amenities you would expect at almost any decent hotel**. There was **no refrigerator and no microwave**, which is especially ridiculous for a room at this price point. To make matters worse, the **telephone in the room didn’t work**, and **several electrical outlets were completely dead**. How does a hotel put a guest in a room without checking whether basic equipment and electrical outlets actually function? These aren’t minor inconveniences — they’re things housekeeping and maintenance should have caught immediately. Housekeeping was another joke! **Our room wasn’t serviced until we specifically called and asked for it**. Apparently, even getting the room cleaned requires a request. The Luxor may have an impressive exterior and a recognizable name, but **the actual guest experience in our room felt more like a run-down budget motel than a major Las Vegas resort**. A famous name and a huge casino don’t excuse poor maintenance, missing amenities, and inadequate housekeeping. For what we paid, this was **nowhere close to an acceptable hotel experience**. The Luxor seriously needs to invest in maintaining its rooms and remembering that guests are paying for more than just a casino. We walked through the other major hotels and they were all better than the Luxor! **Very disappointing. I would think twice before staying here again!**
