When we visited the Bryght Booth, they made the perfect suggestion for us to check out the show. We had a blast. What a fun night!
I came to see this show based on a friend's recommendation, but it certainly didn't live up to the hype. The seating arrangement process appeared to involve racial discrimination: a staff member escorted several white women to prime seats, remarking, "You were originally supposed to be over there" (while pointing to a less desirable, lower-level area off to the side). Meanwhile, we—being Asian—were relegated to the periphery, despite having purchased tickets specifically for center-section seats. To make matters worse, the seats lacked any numbering, reflecting a general state of chaotic mismanagement. The lights were frequently turned off, creating an unsettling and frightening atmosphere. Furthermore, a young woman who was pulled up on stage for audience interaction appeared to have been groped; she looked on the verge of tears. All in all, the experience was abysmal, and I certainly would not recommend it to anyone else.
Allie is the nicest and best person ever. She helped us get in last minute and made sure we had a great time. Her hospitality and energy was amazing and she made my experience go from a 6 to 11.
Living near Fremont Street Experience, I've seen the Chippendale's booth a number of times so I thought I would check out the actual show to see what the fuss was about, and overall, I'm glad I did. Being pretty new to Las Vegas and not knowing a ton of people yet, I went solo. The first thing I noticed was that the venue is a lot more compact and intimate than I was expecting, which I think is a positive. I'm a bit of an introvert so I was stepping outside my comfort zone a bit though I like to do that from time to time. Though I actually selected a seat towards the back, I was upgraded to a second row seat, and I wasn't sure what was going to happen. Though I had a few favorites (Andres, Iury, and another guy whose name I didn't catch), all of these men are very attractive, and the cast is diverse so there's something here for everyone. There are a number of hot fantasy-driven scenes, and I particularly enjoyed the Purple Rain shower sequence. I will add that this show may not be for the faint of heart. It is clear that Chippendales is marketed largely toward the female demographic, and I was only one of a handful of men in the audience. It is presumed that at least most of the cast are heterosexual (and being like a lot of gay men, I have a bit of an obsession with straight men) so I expected most of the interaction to be with females in the audience. While that is true, they do make an effort to acknowledge the men as well. A few of the guys came up to me and let me rub on their chest, which was unexpected but very nice. I was also asked to come on stage for a small bit, but I politely declined as I wasn't really sure what to expect and being a bit naturally nervous about things like that. Maybe next time -- especially if I have a drink before. Overall, I would recommend the show to those who appreciate the male physique and want to see it up close and personal in a fun, high energy environment.
I have been to the Chippendales Las Vegas theater yesterday ..well I was not sure about it, at first as I was alone and being a man...but I definitely had great fun ! It was tremendous ! They really have good state of minds, they do some acrobaties, are good dancers and entertainers. There is a reason why Dio is named like a God...a real god ;-) ... a body to die for, he s rocking on his motorbike and such a lovely artist ! Alejandro ( who looks quite grumpy) looks like Cristiano Ronaldo , he definitely should perform as a soccer placer, it would have great success !! I m quite ashamed not remembering all the cast's names ... At first the room surprised me as it is quite small and intimate. They should have little tables, though. So if you are looking to have great time with a beautiful show with male nudity and performance, you should go and watch this show ! You will face a very peculiar and pleasing experience. Mozart is very good with his guitar, the cast sing, dance ..and strip (!) There were lots of ladies, but also some couples, and even if you are a man alone, do not hesitate. The team is very nice and professional (and a mere pleasure to discuss with, after the show).
