A Show That Understands Entertainment Some shows rely on elaborate special effects. Others rely on nostalgia. Tournament of Kings manages to combine both, while never forgetting that the audience is there to have fun. From the moment the doors opened around 30 minutes before the performance, everything felt well organised. You're shown straight to your seats, given plenty of time to order drinks from the bar if you want something stronger than the included unlimited soda and water, and settle in before the action begins. By the time the show starts, your meal is already arriving, so there's no interruption once the entertainment gets underway. It's a simple system, but one that's been refined over years and works exceptionally well. The whole experience runs almost exactly 90 minutes, which feels just about perfect. The food deserves far more credit than it often gets. Eating with your hands is all part of the medieval theme, but it never feels gimmicky. The meal consists of half a roast chicken, a bread roll, corn on the cob and roasted potatoes. The chicken was excellent, cooked with a wonderful smoky barbecue flavour without actually being coated in sauce, so despite eating without cutlery it isn't particularly messy. It's hearty, well-cooked comfort food that suits the experience perfectly. Then there's the show itself. It's easy to assume that a long-running production like this might start to feel a little tired, but that couldn't have been further from our experience. The cast throws themselves into every scene with genuine energy, the horsemanship is incredibly impressive, and the audience is encouraged to cheer their knight throughout. Before long, the entire arena is fully invested in the outcome. Although the combat is obviously choreographed, it never looks half-hearted. The performers don't appear to pull their strikes, and swords regularly crash together with showers of sparks flying into the air. Combined with the horses charging around the arena, the pyrotechnics, lighting and music, it creates a surprisingly immersive spectacle that keeps your attention from beginning to end. What impressed me most was the pacing. There's always something happening, whether it's a joust, sword fight, horseback stunt or a moment of humour to keep the atmosphere light. The production never outstays its welcome, and before you realise it the finale has arrived. By the end of the evening, it felt like far more than just dinner with a show attached. It's a complete experience that's been polished over decades, balancing spectacle, audience participation, good food and seamless organisation into something that's genuinely entertaining for both adults and children. Las Vegas offers no shortage of world-class productions, but Tournament of Kings has carved out its own place by simply delivering exactly what it promises: an evening that's energetic, immersive and tremendous fun. If you're looking for something different from the usual theatre show, this is an easy recommendation.

This was so much fun! It’s midevil times but with a Vegas budget! We got AMAZING seats that we booked a few months in advance. Each ticket was about $80/person. We wanted really good front row center seats since we were celebrating our friends joint bachelor and bachelorette party! We sat in Romania in the front row. The other side of the stadium that is center and had equally great seats was Dragon! 🐉 Juat so you know the Dragon section roots for the bad guys!!! You are served dinner and drinks with the price of your ticket. Alcohol is extra. You are NOT given Silverware, they do give you one moist towelette to clean your hands after. Bring extra! Dinner is chicken, a roll, potatoes and half corn on the cob. Not gonna lie it’s pretty good. You eat it all with your hands. 🙌🏻 The show is fun and made more fun if you participate and cheer your knight on! HUZZAH! 🥳

We booked Tournament of Kings expecting a fun family activity, but honestly, it ended up being one of the biggest surprises of our Vegas trip. Our kids were 18 and 16 at the time, and we weren’t sure if they’d think it was cheesy or too geared toward younger kids. Instead, they had an absolute blast. The show is fast-paced, entertaining, and does a great job getting the crowd involved. Between the jousting, horses, battles, and cheering for your knight, it’s hard not to get caught up in the fun. The dinner was also much better than expected. The portions were generous, the food was delicious, and nobody left hungry. The “eat with your hands” experience added to the medieval theme—although our daughter may or may not have smuggled in a fork because she wasn’t fully committed to the authentic experience! 😂 If you’re traveling with teens or older kids and wondering if it’s worth it, the answer is absolutely yes. We went in with modest expectations and left talking about it for the rest of the trip. One of the most unexpectedly fun family experiences we’ve had in Las Vegas. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a great time at Tournament of Kings at Excalibur! Buying the tickets through the app was quick and easy, and they were delivered to our email right away. The show was entertaining from beginning to end, and the dinner was better than we expected. We were served half a roasted chicken with corn, boiled potatoes, bread, and apple pie. I had seen photos online of people getting what looked like a whole chicken, so I was a little surprised by the portion. That said, the chicken was delicious—juicy, lightly smoked, not too fatty, and seasoned just right. I appreciated that it wasn't overly salty or heavily seasoned. It actually felt like a simple meal that fit the medieval theme. The apple pie was tasty too. I just wish it had a little more apple filling, but the flavor was excellent. Overall, my whole family enjoyed both the food and the show. We would definitely come back... especially if I can get my hands on a little more chicken next time! 😂

I didn’t realize this would be the highlight of our visit to Vegas. Our kids had a blast, but honestly, even if we had gone without them, we would’ve had a blast anyway. The acting was phenomenal. The actors interacting with the crowd was really fun and everyone just ends up having a ton of fun. We loved the food, even though it was simple. My corn was way too dry so I didn’t end up eating it but still you can’t go wrong with chicken, baked potato and bread lol the little dessert afterwards was really good too. Very simple but filling. The only thing I could think that was negative was that the waiters were not in the best mood. Aside from that they were working hard throughout the whole show. Again, if you’re in Vegas, you need to stop by the tournament of Kings. After the show we spent time in the arcade that’s right in the entrance of the show. Overall, very fun and something my kids will always remember.
